Web design FAQ

Answers to your Questions
How much do you charge for web design?
The cost depends on what you need, like the number of pages and any extras such as branding, copywriting or photography.

Just to give you an idea, our bespoke website design and development projects start at £4,500 (ex. VAT).

We're always happy to have a chat and discuss your budget and requirements - once we know exactly what you need, we can give you a cost estimate and timeline.

Alternatively, feel to check our set price branding + web design packages aimed at startups, businesses and SMEs.

How long does a website design and build project usually take?
For a simple site, the timeframe is typically around 4 weeks, while larger or more complex projects might take up to 3 months. We’ll provide a clear timeline once we know what you need, ensuring the process is as smooth and predictable as possible.

We're a small and adaptable design studio, so if you have a tight deadline, just let us know, and we'll see what we can do to help.

We have a smaller budget, can we still work together?
We're a small and flexible agency, and we love working with clients who share our vision... so if you like our portfolio and approach, we're always happy to explore a collaboration.

Please contact us and depending on your project and our availability, we'll do our best to help you.

What is your web design process?
1. Discovery & Research: Understand the client goals, the target market and competitive landscape.

2. Planning: Develop sitemap, wireframes, and SEO strategy to structure and plan the website’s architecture and content.

3. Design: Create visual mockups and user interface designs aligned with brand identity and user experience principles.

4. Development: Code front-end and back-end functionalities, integrate the Wordpress CMS and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.

5. Testing: Test functionality, responsiveness and performance; fix any bugs and optimise for speed and usability.

6. Launch: Final review, domain and hosting setup, and launch!

7 . Post-Launch: Provide ongoing support and maintenance; set up analytics to monitor website performance.

We're a flexible agency so this framework may vary based on the project and client's budget.

What platforms do you use to build websites?
We mostly use WordPress, as it’s a flexible and cost-effective platform that works very well for most businesses. It offers great reliability, easy content management, and strong SEO capabilities.

We can also create websites using Webflow when it better suits the project, particularly for more edgy or design-led websites that require advanced layouts and interactive elements.

Whatever the platform, we always apply our trademark simplicity, efficiency, thoughtful user experience and solid SEO expertise.

What are the differences and advantages of WordPress vs Webflow?
WordPress is often the best option for SEO-focused and content-driven websites. It’s flexible, scalable, and ideal if planning to regularly publish content or grow the site over time.

Webflow is typically best for design-led websites. It allows for more creative layouts, smooth animations, and a more advanced visual user experience.

Both platforms allow us to create fast, bespoke and fully responsive websites. The choice usually depends on the business needs and marketing strategy.

Do you also provide SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)?
Yes we do, but only for the websites that we've designed and built. Chances are you found us at the top of Google, or through AI search results, so you can tell we know what we're doing.

Over the years, we've helped many businesses with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) but we're always honest and realistic about the chances of reaching that coveted first page.

Please contact us to discuss how we can help your business generates enquiries organically.

Do you provide website hosting & maintenance?
Yes we do. We always look after the websites that we design and build. Regular updates and maintenance are crucial to safeguard against potential security threats.

Every website is different so we don't have set prices for hosting - please contact us to discuss your project and pricing. Or find out more on the individual pages of our Branding + Web Design Packages.
